Lame (lah may) is the name of the curved-edged knife used to cut decorative patterns into raw bread dough. When the bread hits the hot oven, the dough rises, thrusting open these slits to make artistic grape clusters, basket weavings, star shapes, etc, etc.
Also known as a grignette, this 1-3/4" stainless steel fixed blade is extremely sharp and comes with a protective cap. Overall length is 5". Available with a single fixed blade or as a set with 10 refillable blades.
