The Chateauneuf Pepper Mill uses the patented grinding design, first created by Peugeot in 1842, and still in use today. The mechanism, made of case hardened steel, actually cracks the peppercorns prior to the fine grinding process. The grooves for the peppercorns are individually cut into the metal and then case hardened, making them virtually indestructible. This is why Peugeot is able to offer a lifetime guarantee on its mills.

The pepper mill features the patented French U'Select system, which enables you to adjust the grind -- a choice of 6 grinds, from fine to coarse. The Chateauneuf pepper mill is made from cherry wood and stands 9-1/2" in height.
