New from Messermeister is a unique, full cambered Rocking Knife. With a traditional molded German POM handle, the full cambered blade allows this knife to function as a mezzaluna -- great for mincing herbs, chopping nuts, or dicing shallots. The wide stiff curved blade is sized to separate the fruit of a melon from the rind, slices from a grapefruit, or meat from an avocado. When gripped on the blade, it can serve as a fillet knife to separate skin from a fish. With a 5" blade and 5" handle, its overall length is 10".
The Messermeister story traces its roots to Solingen, Germany where the tradition of superior quality and design began in 1866. These knives are crafted in the same location today and can be found in kitchens the world over.
