With a blade formed in the shape of a sheep's foot, this paring knife is perfect for peeling, mincing, slicing, or chopping. Easy to use and with a comfortable grip, the blade is forged from a single blank of high carbon steel. And since the sheep's foot and all Messermeister blades are hardened to 56 on the Rockwell hardness scale, it will hold its edge for a very long time. The full tang is molded at the handle by damage-resistant polyoxymethaline, which makes handling very comfortable.
Messermeister of Solingen, Germany, has been in the knife business for more than a century and is renown for creating the sharpest edges of all forged cutlery. Like all Messermeister cutlery, the sheep's foot has a bolster-less heel, which allows the entire length of the 3-1/2" cutting edge to be re-sharpened. Overall length of the knife is 7-1/2".
