"Bacchus" Corkscrew
This double-spindle, precision-machined corkscrew was patented in 1842 by Edwin Cotterill. Made in Germany by Monopol, the die cast zinc worm is hardened, ground and finely polished to a satin finish, and easily able to penetrate any cork. The double spindle engineering allows the bottle of wine to be both uncorked and the cork released with a simple twist. With most components of the Bacchus artfully hand-crafted, it will withstand a lifetime or more of wine openings.
