With four coarseness settings, choose from 4, 6, 8, or 10 cups and strong, medium, or mild. The solid steel conical burr grinder slowly grinds beans - without heat so as to preserve the natural coffee bean aroma - directly into the filter which then automatically swings forward to begin the brewing process. Coffee enters the 10-cup thermal carafe through a closed lid where it will stay hot for up to four hours. If you just can't wait for your first cup, a drip-stop feature allows you to pour a cup before brewing is finished.

The programming panel includes a two-line LCD display that features an AM/PM clock timer and displays how many cups brewing, strength, and when brewing will begin.

While this coffeemaker will hold and grind up to 80 grams of your favorite coffee beans, it can be used with or without the grinder, in case you wish to use pre-ground coffee or flavored coffee. Flavored beans should not be processed through the burr grinder as, over time they will effect the performance of the grinding mechanism.
