The housing of this waffler is constructed of highly polished die cast aluminum. The grids are nonstick and extra-thick for optimum heat distribution. For extra thick waffles, the waffler is equipped with a commercial-style hinge that allows the upper plate to "float" to accommodate the waffle thickness. A generous spill trough will catch any batter overflow and make for an easy clean-up.
