This 4-1/2 qt. asparagus steamer is made of 18/10 stainless steel with a heavy duty tri-ply base. Standing 9" tall and measuring 5-1/2" in diameter, the lower part of the steamer is brushed stainless contrasting beautifully with the shiny upper part. Included is a heavy gauge stainless steel steaming basket large enough to steam lots of fresh asparagus. The tempered glass lid features a protective rim of stainless and a vent to allow steam to escape. Not just for asparagus...steam potatoes, broccoli, clams, etc.
