This salt box is designed to keep dust and other particles from settling and collecting on its contents. When in use, the lid can be moved to one side for easy access to salt and then reclosed. Made from flattened strips of bamboo, the salt box is easy to care for just by washing with a mild detergent in warm water. Since bamboo is actually not wood but a grass, it absorbs very little moisture, so there is no shrinking or swelling when wet. An occasional wipe with a food grade mineral oil is recommended. The Bamboo Salt Box is 5" in diameter and 3" in height.
